At the heart of Mithila Store is Mahendra Sah, an artist deeply rooted in the culture of Mithila.
Growing up in Janakpur, Mahendra was surrounded by this art in its most authentic form. Over the years, he developed his own artistic voice—studying traditional motifs, refining techniques, and understanding the deeper cultural significance behind every pattern.
As the Chief Designer, his role goes beyond creation. He carefully interprets traditional Mithila art and brings it to life through modern applications. Each design begins with his original artwork—handcrafted pieces that are then thoughtfully adapted onto products while preserving their authenticity.
